Tips To Help You With Your Tampa Bay Landscaping Problems

Tampa Bay Landscaping Problem #1 And Its Solution

Palm Tree Nutrient Deficiencies

Nitrogen Deficiency - you will notice the older leaves turn first. They will have a light green or yellow color, then you will notice that the entire tree will become off color.

Potassium Deficiency - you will notice the older leaves turn first. The symptoms are yellow or orange spots on the leaves. The leaves will then become withered looking.

Magnesium Deficiency - you will notice the older leaves turn first and then it will continue up through the canopy. You will see a broad light yellow band along the outer margin of the oldest leaves but the center of the leaf will probably remain green. The affected leaves will not return to green, new growth will be needed to replace them.

Manganese Deficiency - often called 'Frizzle Top' is usually caused by the soil being to alkaline. You will notice this on the new leaves only. They will grow looking yellowish due to a decreased amount of chlorophyll, they will also look weak and of smaller size with extensive streaking in the leaves. It will continue to get worse and if left untreated a dying tree will not be able to be salvaged and will not survive.
